Cambridge Open Art Exhibition is on Friday 11th to Sunday 13th October 2019 at Swavesey Village College, Gibraltar Lane, Swavesey, CB24 4RS
Friday 11th October from 6.30pm to 9pm is Preview Evening. Come and enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles and mingle with this year’s exhibition artists.
Saturday 12th October 10am to 5pm and Sunday 13th October 10am to 4pm – entry to exhibition is free.
100 artists exhibiting over 500 works. All for sale. Beautiful, original and affordable works to buy direct from the artist.
Why not join us for a great day out – have a coffee or lunch at the cafe – filled rolls and cakes. We are taking part in the Big Draw Festival with art activities for children rolling on Saturday and Sunday. And of course our popular artists’ tables to buy cards and small gifts and the added advantage of affordable art to buy.
There is ample FREE PARKING.
Get away from the crowded city and enjoy a relaxing time out at the exhibition. This is a local community project which supports charity.
Friday evening and Saturday, there will be a wide range of Artists stalls selling cards and small gifts.
Come and meet some of this year’s exhibiting artists and other local artists and see their work.
Take time to peruse the range of items for sale which you won’t find in the high street shops.
We are taking part again this year in the Big Draw Festival. The theme is Drawn from Nature.
Children’s art activities will be running throughout Saturday and Sunday in the cafe area.
This year the Cafe will be run by the charity, Wintercomfort. The Cafe will be open Saturday and Sunday serving tea, coffee and cakes and for lunchtime a selection of filled rolls.
All proceeds from the cafe are going to Wintercomfort.
Your chance to win one of the exhibition artworks up to the value of £150 with draw donations to local charity Wintercomfort.
Choose your favourite artwork, fill out the form, make a donation to Wintercomfort and you could take home an original artwork (to the value of £150). The Draw will take place at 3pm on Sunday 13th October 2018.

Sponsored by HMC Framing Ltd, visitors have the chance to be their own judges and nominate their favourite artwork during the exhibition. The Artist with the most votes will receive £100 HMC Framing voucher and will be announced at 3.15pm on Sunday 13th October by HMC Framing. Make sure to vote!

By Car: Swavesey is 10 miles from Cambridge on Northbound/West on A14. Exit A14 at Jct 28 and follow signs to Swavesey; continue into Swavesey Village and see signposts for “Swavesey Village College”; turn left onto Gibraltar Lane and first left into free car park. Postcode: CB24 4RS.
Public Transport: There are buses to Swavesey from Cambridge (Emmanuel St. bus station – Citi Bus 5), St. Ives (8 miles from Swavesey) and other locations in Cambridgeshire.
The Guided Bus from Cambridge/St.Ives/Huntingdon [‘The Busway’] stops just outside Swavesey village and is a 20 minute walk to the exhibition from the busway stop.
